So I have decided to return to my roots and go brown! I really don't remember what my natural colour is, so I'm working from the roots. But I don't want all over colour so I have some red highlites in the front. But because the dye was on so long, they are dark red and you can't really see them.

OK, so when I booked the appointment they told me 2.5 hours. Therefore done by 4, plenty of time to go home and change before picking up Rachel. BUT they were wrong and I went rushing out of there at 445. Called Karen to tell her we'll be 20 mins late. Go get Rachel and then head home to change.

I honestly raced through the door and down to my room to change, do my makeup and finish my hair all in about 10 mins.

TORONTO - 610ish
We picked up Karen in oakville and made good time into Toronto, where after a tour of the block we found parking. We are now quite hungry, or at least I am. We got a bit discouraged when one restaurant told us it would be 1-1.5 hour wait @ 6 on a Saturday.
We ended up a Lone Star, with a fun waiter who kept trying to get us to order him as our drink or dessert. And then told us we couldn't leave yet when we asked for the bill.

We got tot the theatre on time and hiked our way up to the upperbalcony and then down the balcony stairs to the front row where our seats were. I must say that the second time you see Mama Mia it is just as good as the first! and this time I got to pick up on more of the subtlties then the first time.

DRINKS @ THE ARMADILLO - 11ish
We got to the bar a little early and got a table. We ordered the Pitcher of Margaritas and waited for Dayna to arrive. She arrive with one of her house mates Trish, and they joined in the Raspberry Margarita fun - so we ordered a second pitcher. We stayed until about 1245 then had to head home - as Rachel had to be up at 7 the next morning.

I must say - it was one fabulous day! and now I'm a Brunette - Again!

The Wait is Over!!

The call came in yesterday at 4pm - I GOT THE JOB!! McKinley Mall in Blasdell (just outside of Buffalo) did not disapoint. Dad was able to get pants for work for 32$US, and I got 2 pairs of boots and a purse for 57$US. I also tried on some sweaters that I think 'may' show up under the Christmas Tree - hopefully!!

We decided to eat at Oliver Garden, since they are no longer in Canada. Very Yummy!!

The best part of the trip was re-crossing the boarder.

Boarder Guy : How long have you been here?
Dad: just today, to do some shopping
BG: What did you buy?
Dad: about $250 worth of clothes between the 4 of us
BG: ok, bye
Dad drives away
Mom: why we don't have to pay duty?
Me: Gotta love the work to rule (they aren't making anyone pay duty until the gov't agrees to a contract that they like)

Gotta love screwing the gov't out of money!!

The Waiting Game

Ok, so I had an interview on October 1, and for the most part, I thought it went rather well. So now I am in the waiting game. Time passes, and passes, and passes. Still no call - so Frustrating!! Why won't they call!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Then, on Tuesday, the HR Lady called - HOORAY!!!!!!!!! She wants to know who my references are - YEAH!! Good sign!! So I give her the name of the lady I worked for during my 3 summers with Citizenship and Immigration, and she understands why she can't call my current boss - they are the competition.

So now I'm back in the waiting game - how long does it take to make one phone call??

Disclaimer

I have created this blog so that I can post comments on Jen's blogs without having to do it annoymously.
